Tiger Shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) is a requiem shark and belongs to the family Galeocerdae.

Size: average average 3.25-4.25 meter (10-13 ft.); max. 5.0 meter (16 ft.)

Depth: average 350 meters (1,100 ft.); max. 900 meters (3,000 ft.)

Habitat: nomadic shark in deep waters that line reefs

Diet: Bony fish, crustaceans, seals, birds, squid, turtles, sea snakes, dolphins

Reproduction: Ovoviviparous, gestation period 14-16 months, 10-80 pups, reproduces every 3 years only

Sexual maturity: around 2.3-3.5 meter (7.5-11.5 ft.); around 10-12 years of age
