Blue Shark (Prionace glauca) is a requiem shark and belongs to the family Carcharhinidae.

Size: 2.82-3.30 meter (9.3-10.8 ft.);

Depth: Surface to 350 meter (1,150 ft.)

Habitat: oceanic shark in deep tempered oceans

Diet: Squid, cuttlefish, octopuses, lobster, shrimp, crab, bony fish, small sharks & rays

Reproduction: Viviparous, gestation period 12 months, 25-100 pups

Sexual maturity: around 2.15-2.46 meter (7.1-8.1 ft.); around 6-8 years of age
