Habitat: tropical and warm temperate waters worldwide

Diet: Crustaceans, cephalopods, bony fish, small sharks & rays

Reproduction: Viviparous, gestation period 11 months, 20-40 pups, every second year

Sexual maturity: around 2.3-2.5 meter (7.5-8.2 ft.); around 8-10 years of age
