Event: 5 days of dedicated shark diving, one day of early morning diving, dives around Koror, Peleliu and Palau’s northern reefs. Evening seminars and presentations of MSF organizers and International experts, workshop & shark movie. Last night Gala Dinner Buffet, with Palauan Delicacies.

Each participant will receive a special “Shark Week Palau 2019” t-shirt, a Micronesian Shark Foundation coloring book and the chance to win a price in our raffle.

Every year from February to April hundreds of Grey Reef Sharks gather in Palau for their annual mating aggregation.

Taking advantage of this event, the Micronesian Shark Foundation developed Shark Week in 2003.

Shark Week provides an opportunity for divers to experience high voltage shark diving with field experts such as Dr. Mark Meekan of A.I.M.S. and the team of Stanford University under the leadership of Barbara Block.

Shark week includes 5-6 days of diving at some of the best sites in Palau, evening lectures by various experts, conservation advocates and sponsors, video presentations.

A closing GALA dinner with gourmet local food and drinks, raffle drawing for Shark Week participants, summary speeches by MSF Founder Tova Harel Bornovski and the panel of experts and sponsors concludes the event.

We regard Shark Week as our main event to get the word out to the International community. Divers become ambassadors for sharks, shark conservation and environmental protection. Ambassadors carrying our message way beyond our borders.

Presentations of our finding are important to showcase our work for Palau's shark conservation and environment protection.

Our founding member Tova Harel Bornovsky is appearing on a regular basis at local and International events. She has made presentations to

local Government officials, the President of Palau, Traditional Leaders, Tourism Boards all throughout Micronesia, scientific groups and numerous International events such as dive shows in USA, Germany and Singapore.

Every year the Micronesian Shark Foundation is organizing Shark Week Palau, an event realized in cooperation with Fish'n Fins, Palau's most prestigious dive operator.

During shark week Tova Harel Bornovski , along with international shark experts, whom we regularly invite for these events, give presentations and talks.
